Subject: Lease of Right-of-Way for Gathering/transmission Pipelines

Question
I live in Burleson, Texas on 9 acrease top of the Barnett Shale.  I have leased a right-of-way down my fence line on my property to the oil company (I'll call company A"} for a gathering pipeline.  They decided not to use that area and leased the section in front of my house and across my driveway.  Another company (I will call company B) now has approached me to lease a corner of the area already leased to company A.  Ther want to go across company A lease with a transmission pipeline.  My question, is it legal for me to lease a portion of the easement that is already leased to Company A?  If so, do I need to inform company A about Company B?  What if any liability would I have?  Thank you for your response.
