Question Sorry to ask a dumb question :0)
Can you set a paragraph of text to have an underline attribute as you would in any other programme. I can't find the command anywhere and online help... doesn't.
I am currently using v. 8.0 on the mac. Any help would be grateful.

Answer Hi Dave,
Not a dumb question - a dumb answer! You can't underline in AI.
You have to physically draw lines under your text using the pen tool and assign them a black stroke of about .5
Then copy and paste the line under each line in your paragraph.
Maybe another way to emphasize your text is to bold or italicize it????
Is it because you only have v.8? Nope. You still can't in 9. You might be able to in 10 but I don't use 10 - too buggy.
Anyway, don't let that stop you from using Illustrator!
