Independence High School, Charlotte, North Carolina

Independence High School is located in Mint Hill in eastern Mecklenburg County, North Carolina. It was established in 1967 and includes grades 9-12. It has a student population of roughly 2400.

The Independence Varsity Football Team recently won their 92nd straight game and sixth straight NCHSAA State Championship. The basketball team also won the state championship in 1998. The mascot is the Patriot and the colors are green and gold.

The school newspaper is The Declaration and is a member of the High School National Ad Network.
